My wife and I went there last month for the first time in over twenty years. Aside from the pure natural beauty of the island the unfortunate things that struck me the most were the crowds, traffic and lack of parking. I don’t think I’ll ever go there in full snowbird season again. Probably a lot nicer now or in the Fall.
I went out to visit a friend who was vacationing on Captiva. The traffic was an issue. I was late for an appointment later that evening as a result. I’m with you, the island is a summer sport from this point forward.
