Homestead Exemption Deadline | Bonita Springs Real Estate | March 1
If you purchased new real estate as a primary residence in 2008 the deadline for filing homestead exemption is just a few weeks away. There are a few other exemptions that you may qualify for, also.
Here’s the link to the Lee County Property Appraisers site so that you can download the form. Download Exemption Form.
Just a little heads up, that form has to be mailed and post marked by March 1st or it won’t count for this year. So shake a tail feather and get your exemption. You’ll save some serious money!
If you’ve purchased your real estate in 2009 you are not eligible to file in 2009. You will be filing for the 2010 tax year.
