I know Brendan Cove better than just about anyone. I lived here for well over 15 years in The Cottages at Brendan Cove, in the very first home built in the community. My twins were raised here. I even owned a lot on the canal side of Driftwood Drive with plans to build. The children grew up faster than the plans did and I never built. I have since sold a variety of homes and land in Brendan Cove.

Every time I bring someone through the gate they say the same thing: "We never knew this was here." It is an almost boutique style enclave, quiet and tucked along the river. The landscaping is mature. The boat dock system ends at a gazebo on the water. Even an evening walk out to the end of the docks is lovely. And you are close enough to ride a bike or take about a ten minute walk to Publix.

A Boater's Neighborhood on the Imperial River

The heart of Brendan Cove is its mangrove lined marina with private boat slips. From your slip you can cruise the Imperial River out to Estero Bay and on to the Gulf of Mexico. Some properties come with a deeded dock and some do not. If you buy a home without one, owners with deeded docks occasionally lease them out. Ask me which homes include a dock before you fall in love with a house. The Imperial River bridge is a high one. From Brendan Cove, clearance has never been an issue.

Location and Everyday Convenience

Brendan Cove sits close to the center of town. Step out of the neighborhood onto the widened sidewalk along West Terry Street and pedal east about a mile and a half to two miles. You will be in downtown Bonita Springs, at Riverside Park for an art show or festival, before you know it. The restaurants of downtown and the Bonita Springs Recreation Center are close by too. Bonita Beach and Barefoot Beach are a short drive west on Bonita Beach Road. Coconut Point, Miromar Outlets and Southwest Florida International Airport are an easy drive north.
