Old Bonita Springs Florida
Just like the state streets in Old Bonita, Bonita Farms offers some of the areas original homes. Orange Creek is located just off of Matheson Avenue, north of Dean Street. Orange Creek is only consists of a few streets that make of the area; Orangewood Dr., Murat Ct. and Tangelo Terrace. It’s not a gated community, just an area, a subdivision. The homes are built at different times and in different styles so there is a variety of architecture.
What makes the area interesting is that the east end of the Imperial River borders the area and there is a small community boat ramp for the local residents and property owners. This end of the Imperial River is a little bit more shallow and narrow. Idle speed is the law, which is good because it’s great sight seeing. Cypress trees older than anyone could guess are on the river bank. Turtles dot moss covered logs and rocks and mullet jump while you’re making your way up or down the river.
Orange Creek of Bonita Springs is walking distance to the historic Bonita Springs Elementary School on Dean street and walking distance to Riverside Park, For Heavens Shakes Ice Cream and Everglades Wonder Gardens.
