July 4th 2012 – 4th of July Events Bonita Springs Florida
Looking for Things to Do? Kick off the Fourth of July with a traditional small town parade, organized by Bonita Springs’ Professional Firefighters Local 3444. This year’s Bonita Springs 4th of July Parade theme is Shine a Bright Light on Our Community and was chosen by Ms. Stacey Strell’s Eighth Grade Class at Bonita Springs Charter School!
The parade starts at 9:00 am and runs South on Old 41 in Downtown Bonita Springs from Bonita Drive to Riverside Park in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Then the City of Bonita Springs once again celebrates Independence Day with the annual Star Spangled Bonita!
The event will feature Deb & the Dynamics, children’s activities, eating contests, an old-fashioned bed race and a laser light show and fireworks display. The festivities will begin at 4 p.m.
Newly added to this year’s event is an old-fashioned bed race.
The race will take place along Old U.S. 41 beginning at 4 p.m. and interested participants are asked to pre-register with the YMCA 597-3148 or visit http://ymcapalms.org/.
