Our Version of Fall Foliage

Talk amongst yourselves.  I’m sporting a majorly disturbing headache of no cable internet with a twist of real life, I think my brain is bleeding, migrane. I’m going to ice down my gray matter and bring you more of Bonita Springs tomorrow.

it snowed today here in the frozen reaches of northern Minnesota, not real snow , but those hard little balls of icy sleet that got suspended in the grey cold sky and then plummet to earth. Natures little seasonal alarm clocks that tell the Scandanavian to get your stuff together and get ready to survive again for six miserable months, like the reality TV shows, except this is a no- nonsense real life situation. Why aren’t these people going to Bonita Springs to spend the winter? They have the money. The hospitals are “up to snuff”. The roads are good. The churches have all been built. The mosquitoes have been under control since 1968. What’s holden ‘em back????

Are they only familiar with the crowds at Disney? Do they think there’s a hurricane every week? Does every house still cost a gazillion dollars? Don’t they understand that the bloodthirsty tax collectors have at last relaxed? that you can now insure a house for less than it costs to own an exotic sports car? Florida has done everything in its power to stem the tide(tsunami)of immigration and are finally now in a position to handle growth that should be expected in an area with an exceptional climate. Maybe a key factor in this whole thing is the fact that the customer has changed, they are no longer the couple with money drouling from between their fingers, wanting the amenities of the gated community. They are just a step up from their grandparents who settled in the “Bamboo Village” over on Old 41 at the Imperial River. Whatever, let’s realize that Florida’s greatest industy is all Northern money and how do you get the pipeline flowing in the right direction?
