In a short sale listing I had, the bank rejected a $119,000, a $99,900 offer only to foreclose the house and sell it at $81,300. The fact that they sold it to a realtor, who turned around and put it back on the market for $134,000 adds insult to injury!

I don’t know if I’m “sharing wisdom,” but it seems to me that it would be in the bank’s best interest to have cut & run by taking the offer!

Nice…I have watch Bank Owned properties drop months later below my buyers offer price many times. I guess the banks REALLY do want to own real estate…The obviously think “now is the time to hold real estate”
